However, for the people of Lesser Cyclades home is the sea; home is Skopelitis and its people.Skopelitis is an iconic family owned boat, that has been connecting the main islands of Naxos and Amorgos with the Lesser Cyclades since 1965. This consistent daily route is of outmost importance for the people of these islands, since it’s the only way of getting to the administrations center and the hospital in the island of Naxos, of supplying them with basic consumer goods and parcels and even for their children to be able to go to high school.For three generations; and a total of ten wooden boats and iron vessels, Skopelitis has tamed the waves with incredible bravery even during the heaviest seas. All this evolution is leading to the current state of Express Skopelitis, a 45m. awarded boat with a capacity of 340 passengers and 11 cars.Taking this exact ship, gave us the opportunity by just changing its cell and inner layout to facilitate the journey and the informal needs of a modern day ''Arc''. To be more precise our intention was to create the Skopelitis of tomorrow, in the first place a ‘home’ for all the people of Lesser Cyclades to be able to lead better lives and to have a place to unite and celebrate life. Every establishment that was no longer sufficient has been rebuilt on floating platforms and all the other buildings and settlements remain underwater. In order to preserve the culture, history and important documentation of Lesser Cyclades, buildings or sites of interest have become enclosed into waterproof glass cases. Remotely controllable enclosed facilities are not accessible, while cases that contain buildings worth visiting are accessible from a floating platform-port and from each other through underwater tunnels connecting them. It is a privileged place to be, located between two seas that La Manga itself creates, the Mediterranean Sea and the Mar Menor. A project was planned to live in a responsible way this unique and natural environment, but the desire for money and corruption were his death sentence and mass urbanism the crime’s weapon. But it is not too late to return to the paradise that we all remember.The massification of the manga does not allow to appreciate the unique form that the manga has, where from any point you can see the two seas, but now, with the buildings it is difficult to find where the sea is. Eliminating the massive buildings and maintaining the original buildings and those that do not have a great impact on the land, we managed to create a new paradise. But, where do we place all the people in the destroyed buildings?We create a building using recycled materials from the demolitions at the end of the manga, we can restore all displaced people. The other materials resulting from the demolitions will be used to create street furniture such as viewpoints and benches. Filled with memories, emotions and natural features.New utopian landscapes are popping up in selected fonissa spots in order to interpret the writings and play along with the words giving a new meaning to the original description and setting up a figurative scenery for the traveller (planitas).Planitas is now becoming part of the narration resurrecting the spots on the island through the eyes of Papadiamantis and writing his own story rather than reading it.Tourism transcripts have a figurative meaning, creating new relations between the mundane touristic ideas and the historical descriptions of Papadiamantis. Neither an island nor a ship, this ark is a waste storage center.The ark’s route varies between winter and summer time depending on the waste’s quantity. During the summer months, it travels around the Sporades island complex, collecting all kinds of trash and providing the islands’ residents and tourists with an attraction. On the other hand, during winter period its route expands to further Greek marine areas and the Mediterranean Sea, collecting trash not only from the Sporades but also other islands and coastal areas. Then it disposes the trash into various specially designed landfills throughout the mainland.The procedure is as follows: after the ark has reached the harbor the islanders can throw their trash onto the ark or the trash can be collected by cranes and then be placed in a huge stomach-like dumpster. Also, some of the uninhabited islands belong to the Diapontian Islands. Combining the two above, we decided to use two of the uninhabited islands, Diaplo and Diakopo between Corfu and Mathraki, to develop a program that will attract both a specific group of people and tourists. The basic idea, then, is the therapy and rehabilitation of people suffering from various illnesses and injuries, as well as psychotherapy and entertainment for people who are extremely healthy. The largest of these two islands includes therapeutic functions such as massage, hydrotherapy, horse therapy, and lunch, while the smaller island contains accommodation for visitors to the island. The two islands are connected by a bridge. Diakopo has a port that welcomes guests.The area of hydrotherapy is underground. Includes a variety of swimming pools, individual or group massages, saunas, and aromatic baths. The area is illuminated by large skylight with gardens inside.The accommodation units are connected by a covered corridor. In the gaps between the accommodation units there are crops that can be consumed by guests throughout their stay there.
